This is a unique auto escape tool because you don't use it to hit the window. you simply push the black end against the window until the internal mechanism clicks and the window shatters. 

Caution: A few cars have laminated glass in the side windows instead of standard tempered glass. The KRQM-1 will not shatter laminated glass
