The Xcaper Emergency Masks and filter are essential in a variety of applications and situations.
Whether you are at home, campus, office, or are travelling, having the right tools for survival are essential. Having a plan, detectors, and alarms are an excellent idea, but still are not enough to guarentee that you are not at risk to a deadly dose of toxic inhalants from a fire, especially one below you in a structure.
Contrary to what many people think, 60-80% of deaths relating to a fire are actually due to smoke inhalation. If you are in an office, and have to take the stairwells, you will be exposed to heavy smoke. Without a special mask to block out the inhalants, chances of survival are incredibly low, even if fire is not in your immediate path.
The mask is thin and light and for what it can do, is a great addition for any traveller's luggage or bags.
