Severe weather warnings issued across upper Midwest

The National Weather Service issued severe weather warnings Tuesday morning in much of the upper Midwest, as well as a tornado warning in northern Wabash County, in southeastern Illinois, until 7:45 a.m. (8:45 a.m. ET).
At 7:20 a.m., a severe storm capable of producing a tornado was detected 4 miles southwest of Lancaster, Illinois.
Wind gusts exceeding 60 mph were reported in parts of Missouri, including St. Louis, where two reported partial building collapses were blamed on the extreme weather, according to Officer Donna Wisdom of the St. Louis Police Department.
